These last few weeks I have been reminded of an important lesson that life throws at you periodically; Be Prepared. I will be teaching at our weekend services and have enjoyed preparing. Several weeks ago the possibility of this occurring was discussed so I did something I don't always do, I planned a little ahead
Since the odds of me teaching in the place of someone else was somewhat remote, I decided to pull out something I had done a few years ago and then adapt it if necessary. The series is "Intersections: Where God Meets You At Your Deepest Need", so I took a few minutes to look through some sections of the Bible that would work well with this topic.
Then it happened, it started with a text message saying I might need to be ready. A few days later came the email, "Tag, your it."
I love teaching God's Word and am very excited. I also realizethat I have a large paper due for my MSF class, Social Change. Here is the exciting thing about being prepared. I am prepared for teaching, but the paper may suffer a little. God's Word tells me to be prepared to preach His Word. The priority is His work and His Word. I sure hope my professor doesn't read my blog.
Needless to say, I am excited and anxious at the same time, and I am really glad God gave us instructions to be prepared. 2 Timothy 4:2
